In the spring of 2015, a sweet friend of mine asked if I’d be interested in forming a small writing group. Without hearing any further details, I said YES GIRL, YES.
There are five of us. We meet each week to challenge and encourage each other, to share our hearts and our faith and our words on the page, and to act as sounding-boards and critics. I love those four ladies something fierce.
Some things I post here will come from that group. Some things I write are personal essays, some read like devotions, and sometimes they’re pure fiction.
In my writing and in my life, I am trying to find out who I am.
We chose this 1 Peter 2:5 as our own, because God is constantly building us, shaping us, into what we will be. And because writing is, for me, always a sacrifice. I’m sacrificing my time, vulnerability, pride and ego. I want to offer everything I write as a sacrifice, that it may be acceptable to God.
